HUD + Durham Habitat for Humanity + NCCU + the community = A house for School of Business student
For School of Business student Michelle Nixon, partnership is defined as "the means by which the dream of becoming a homeowner becomes reality." Through the partnership of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Durham Habitat for Humanity, NCCU, and the community, Michelle and her daughter Lyshell are scheduled to move into their new home in February 2009.
When asked about this partnership and what it means to her, Michelle said, “There are no words to express how grateful, humble, and blessed I am. I send heartfelt thanks to all of the powerful partners, churches, organizations, family members , friends, and my NCCU family. I know that this is a blessing from God and I look forward to celebrating with all of you when we move into our new home.”
