School of Business students from the CIS 5520 course competed in the global Google Online Marketing Challenge (GOMC) during Spring 2008. The students teamed with Yow, Fox & Mannen, LLP, a law firm in Wilmington, North Carolina, to design an Internet search engine 3-week marketing campaign.
Over 4000 student teams from 61 countries, 468 universities, and 629 course sections participated in GOMC. (That’s a total of over 21,000 students.)
Students David Fox, Tovah McDonald, Dustin Moye, Justin Boateng, and Kelly McLain earned recognition as a GOMC Regional Semi-Finalist in the Americas Region.
Professor Mark Rosso, CIS faculty member said, “We are excited about our students’ success and their readiness for next year’s GOMC.”
